McCann Podgorica, the first agency from Montenegro to win an award on Golden Drum International Festival of Creativity
"For our little team from Podgorica, awards at the Golden Drum have a special significance. For the first time, one Montenegrin marketing agency was awarded with recognitions of this magnitude. The co-operation we have achieved with colleagues from UM Podgorica, McCann Belgrade, and the NGO Women's Rights Center at the #Unwanted campaign is an excellent example of how important topics can for a moment gather people around the big goal and bring good ideas to a significant change in the society. It makes us all very proud. The International Jury, in the competition of 1200 entries from 28 countries awarded the “Unwanted” campaign realized in cooperation with the NGO Women's Rights Center with two gold and one silver award. Additionally, McCann Worldgroup has been named for the Best Agency Network for the fifth time.
Maja Raičević from the NGO Women's Rights Center stated on the occasion of the award: "This is the least story about selective abortions, and more a story about equality, future, freedom. It is not a story of Montenegro alone, it is universal and therefore it needs to travel further to the world. This is the way to achieve this, and that is why we are very grateful for the support you provided to us by awarding us these awards."
The Golden Drum International Festival of Creativity is one of the most important international advertising festivals in which traditionally participate the best international agencies. This year, the 25th jubilee edition of the Festival was organized by the Slovenian advertising chamber.
